The Sprayberry Foundation was established to help bridge the gap between what public education offers and what a competitive, 21st-century education ideally should be. We are an all-volunteer organization that raises funds for the sole purpose of supporting and improving Sprayberry High School.
School Foundations and the PTSA are governed differently with respect to how they raise and spend money. The PTSA, as a national organization, is bound by strict by-laws which dictate how fundraising is achieved and how funds are implemented into programs. The Foundation, on the other hand, operates as a 501c3 non-profit organization and can pursue as much fundraising as is necessary to help meet the identified needs of the students at Sprayberry. At Sprayberry, this means that the Foundation can operate with greater discretion over monies raised, with funding decisions guided by a Foundation Board made up of volunteer parents and community members who dedicate their time to raise funds to enrich your child's education with input from teachers and from school administration.
